Happy new year everybody! Doesn't feel very new though, does it? I'm feeling more positive for the year 2010 as our CG seems to be growing stronger and stronger. Thank you so much, God, for showing us who you are, and giving us the motivation to want to follow you.
This year let us be more determined to devote ourselves to our God. I can't wait for the next EE workshop for you guys to sign up. As we continue to grow as a CG, it's time for you guys to start stepping up and taking different roles in the CG. After discussing with Wei Sheng, these are the role we have decided on so far.
Secretary - Amanda
> Disseminate information
> Compile CG members details
> Manage CG fund
> Keep track of CG attendance
5 Areas of CG Growth
Gel (Fellowship) - Marcus
> In charge of the bonding of the group
> Make sure no one feels left out
> Organise outings, lunches and dinners
> Research on bonding activities and games etc.
Go (Evangelism) - Ryan and Patrizha
> Encourage evangelism within the CG
> Make sure CG members will be equipped with proper training
> Organise outings in which non-christian friends can be invited
> Think of other ways to evangelise
Glorify (Worship) - Zenas and Ian
> Cultivate an attitude of worship within the CG
> In charge of rostering people in the CG to lead worship
> Train other members in the area of worship
> Make sure that the focus of worship in CG is correct
Grow (Bible Study) - David
> Find out what topics the CG members would like to learn
> Propose different topics of study
> Monitor the growth of the CG
> Roster 1 member per month to share on a particular topic and guide him/her
> Keep track of all the Bible Study material
> Promote and encourage the reading of the Bible

For those who don't have roles yet, don't worry, your time will come. We will brief you guys more about the roles. Of course you can ask if is there's anything you're not sure about. We'll be helping you guys along the way.
